Updating Firmware UK - Yealink T19p

This guide details how to update your Yealink T19PN or Yealink T19PN E2 VoIP phone to the latest UK firmware.

What is firmware

Firmware is your phones operating system. It controls the core functions of the phone much the same way as Windows 10 for your PC or OSX10.11 for your MAC would. 

Why should I update my Firmware?

Updating your firmware on your phone is very important. Manufaturers such as Yealink use firmware releases to address software bugs, security vulnerabilities and UX issues on their phones. Keeping the firmware on your handset up to date will ensure your phone is secure and stable. 

Is the firmware on my Yealink T19PN out of date?

There are two versions of the Yealink T19P. (T19PN and T19PN E2).

The most recent firmware updates for these models are as follows; 

If your phone has older firmware than listed above you should update it as soon as possible. 

How to update your firmware on your T19PN

The first step is to log into your phones admin portal. Click here to follow guide on how to login to your phones admin portal.

Once you have logged in, navigate to Settings (Top Menu)->Upgrade (side menu).

Download the relevant firmware:

Select - ' Select and Upgrade Firmware' -> 'Choose'. You want to upload the firmware you downloaded in the previous step. 

Click Update.

Your handset will update it's firmware and re-boot. This process can take around 5 minutes.

WARNING: It is very important not to refresh or close your browser window as this could damage your device requiring it to be completely re-flashed.
