If you have several users on your account, you may wish to update the extension names from our default names (USER1, USER2 etc) to their names or to the rooms they relate to (for example Meeting Room 1 etc).
This will make things easier for you if you want to update any diverts or when you have a query about a certain line as you will be able to confirm the name of the user to us and we will know which extension you need assistance with.
To change the extension names please follow the step by step instructions below.
STEP 1
Login to your dashboard account - https://customerv2.desk-phone.com/
You will then be taken to your dashboard home screen.
STEP 2
Click on the edit button next to the extension that you would like to change the extension name on.
STEP 3
At the top of the next screen, you will see the Main Settings box and the first field is EXT Name. Change this to the new name and then when you have done this, click SAVE.
You can also update the email address for the voicemail messages to go through to at this point. Please ensure you click SAVE after all changes.
To change another extension name, please click Dashboard at the left of your screen and you will then be taken back to the Dashboard Home where you can then complete the steps 2 & 3 again for any further users.
