Using the keypad lock on a Yealink T19P

You can use this feature to temporarily lock the keypad of your phone when your not using it to prevent unauthorised access.

The Keypad lock consists of the following options:

MENU KEY - The menu key is locked and you will be unable to access the menu of the phone while the keypad lock is on. 

FUNCTION KEYS - The function keys will be locked and you will be unable to use Message, Mute, RD, Transfer, , navigation keys and soft keys while the keypad lock is on. 

ALL KEYS - All keys will be locked apart from the volume key.  When this lock is in place, you are only able to do the following:

- Call emergency numbers

- Answer incoming calls by lifting the handset, pressing the speakerphone key, the headset key or the  key

- Place an active call on hold by pressing the hold soft key

- Resume the call by pressing the resume soft key

- End the call by hanging up the handset or by pressing the speakerphone key

PLEASE NOTE: If you activate the keypad lock, you must know the keypad unlock PIN of the phone to be able to unlock it.  The default PIN is "123".  To change this pin you can do this as follows:

MENU  SETTINGS  BASIC SETTINGS  PHONE UNLOCK PIN

- Enter the current PIN in the CURRENT PIN field

- Enter the new PIN in the NEW PIN field

- Enter the new PIN again in the CONFIRM PIN field

- Press the save soft key to accept the changes, or the back key to exit the menu without saving the new PIN. 

To activate the keypad lock:

Press:

MENU  SETTINGS  ADVANCED SETTINGS  KEYPAD LOCK

Press  or   to select the desired keypad lock

Press the SAVE key to accept the change, or the BACK key if you would like to exit the keypad lock menu without making any changes. 

When the phone is idle, you can then long press the  key to lock the keypad.  The LCD screen will then display "Keypad locked!" and will show the padlock icon.

To unlock the keypad:

Press any locked key, you will then see the prompt on the LCD screen "Please enter PIN".

- Enter the current phone PIN in the PIN field.

- Press the cfm soft key to unlock the keypad. 

The padlock icon will then disappear from the screen and the keypad lock will be disabled.    To re-activate the keypad lock simply long press  again. 

To deactivate the keypad:

To deactivate the keypad lock so that it can no longer be activated by pressing , please follow these steps:

Press -  MENU  SETTINGS  ADVANCED SETTINGS  KEYPAD LOCK

Press  or   to select the disable from the keypad lock field. 

Press the SAVE key to accept the change, or the BACK key if you would like to exit the keypad lock menu without making any changes.
